Surveyors

Total station and GNSS operators for setting out, topographic survey, alignment control and volumetric measurement — including hill alignments through monsoon conditions.

Overview

Why this matters on your contract

On an earthwork-dominated contract, the survey is the money. Cross-sections taken carelessly, or reconstructed after the fact, turn into quantity disputes worth more than the entire survey cost many times over. On a building, poor setting out turns into rework nobody wants to own.

We deploy surveyors who hold control through the conditions the project actually presents — including hill alignments across two monsoons, which is where most cross-section records fall apart. Where you need survey delivered as a service rather than as a person, we do that too.

Scope

What the service includes

Every element below is covered as standard. Anything outside it is quoted separately and agreed before we begin.

Setting out

Building grids, road alignment, structure positions and level transfer from established control, recorded as executed.

Topographic survey

Detail and level survey for design, with deliverables in the CAD format your design team needs.

Alignment and profile control

Road centreline, offset and formation level control maintained through construction.

Cross-section measurement

Original ground, intermediate and final cross-sections at contract intervals — the basis of every earthwork quantity.

Volumetric computation

Cut and fill volumes computed from sections or surface models, presented so they can be verified independently.

As-built survey

Survey of completed works for as-built drawings and final quantity reconciliation.

Our Approach

How we do this differently

01

Original ground is captured before work starts

Missing original cross-sections is the single most expensive survey failure on an earthwork contract, and it is entirely preventable.

02

Data is handed over, always

Raw and processed data both. A surveyor holding your data hostage is a risk you should never carry.

03

Control held through monsoon

Our deployed surveyors on hill alignments maintain and re-verify control through the wet season, which is when most projects lose theirs.

Either. We can deploy surveyors with total station and GNSS equipment included, or provide the surveyor to operate your instruments. Instrument-inclusive deployment costs more but removes calibration and availability risk from your side.

Yes. Survey as a delivered service — mobilise, survey, process, hand over drawings and data — is a common assignment, priced per site rather than per month.

By preventing them: original ground surveyed and jointly signed before work starts, sections at contract intervals, and computation methodology stated openly. Where a dispute already exists, we re-compute independently and report honestly, including when the client's figure is right.
